What You Get
"Are you ready? Ok. Uh, ok, then. So, my first wish is to become a genius, I invent something, and it makes me into a billionaire, but this doesn't cause me any problems, and my mind is still my mind, with all my values and personality and other characteris-tics, and I don't get corrupted by wealth.
"My second wish is that I lose twenty pounds and my face is reshaped to be really beautiful, really attractive, and my skin is perfect and everything, but I still look like me. And I don't need to live forever, but I want excellent health as I get old. I don't want a protracted old age—I don't want to know when I'm going to die, but I want it to be relatively painless and quick.
"My third wish is to be happy for the rest of my life, but for this not to change my personality, and I also want to forget about these wishes. All the journey that brought me to this place, take from my mind, but maintain my wits otherwise. I want when I finish my wishing to just have all of this just work for the rest of my life, and I want to still be me."
"Wish granted," said the Magical Fish, and the man dropped dead.
