Submissions
Please fill out this Google form to submit your work. You must be affiliated with the University of Chicago to submit, whether as an undergraduate, graduate student, alum, or faculty member.
Please include one submission per form entry. If you submit three poems, you should submit three separate forms. We do not accept compilations of works or consolidated Word documents.
WORDS
Submit only your best work! We do not review entire portfolios of work.
Written submissions should be submitted in a Word document, a PDF, or in rich-text format (RTF).
Submissions must not exceed 16-pages double-spaced in length.
IMAGES
We will not accept more than 7 submissions from a single artist.
Art submissions must be submitted as a .TIFF file.
All submission images should be at least 300 dpi resolution.
The staff of Sliced Bread receives a high volume of submissions on a rolling basis. We convene weekly and review pieces based on their order of submission. We contact the author or artist through e-mail and inform them of our decision. Find out more information on our Review Process page.
